Overview
The EM3 team (Electronics, Microelectronics et Modelling for Multidomain Systems) aims to develop cutting-edge multidomain electronic systems and microsystems that respond to industrial issues as well as emerging societal challenges in the field of healthcare, energy and environment. Our fields of interest encompass all aspects of multidomain systems design workflow.
Our skills
- Expertise in the complete design flow of complex systems, ranging from the physics of devices to their integration into the systems (MOD thematic 1).
- Concepts validation prior to physical implementation, using dedicated Computer-Aided Design tools (CIR thematic 2).
- Development of prototypes and demonstrators, and experimental characterization (SYS thematic 3).
Our organization
Co-led by Dr. Morgan MADEC (PhD-HDR, head) and Pr. Wilfried UHRING (PhD-HDR, deputy-head), the EM3 team is composed of about 50 members including non-permanents researchers (PhD students) organized along three research thematics:
- The MOD thematic for Multidomain modeling and CAD tools, led by Dr. Jean-Baptiste KAMMERER (PhD-HDR)
- The CIR thematic for Integrated circuits and sensors, led by Pr. Vincent FRICK (PhD-HDR)
- The SYS thematic for System integration, led by Dr. Tedjani MESBAHI (PhD-HDR)
